Organised at Fariyas Resort in Lonavala, the Express BFSI Technology Conclave has attracted about 100 officials from India’s BFSI sector. Also present at the event are several representatives from IT companies, technology specialists, keynote speakers and exhibitors.
Delivering his keynote address at the event, Nabankur Sen, CISO, Bandhan Bank, said, “Perimeter security is utmost importance. At present we are not doing enough to manage our security solutions. Indeed we are deploying firewalls, but most of us leave the responsibility for firewalls to third party vendors. Security is a big area of concern and we have to give more attention to it.”
Nabankur Sen also provided his views on the progress of technology. He said, “When I started my career we had a computer with 16 KB memory. In the 80s, there was the emergence of the PC market. Today we have much advanced systems at our disposal and by 2020 it is expected that there will be 50 billion devices connected with each other—these devices will interact without any human intervention. With IoT, the devices will automatically will take decisions.”
