Aurionpro enters IDBI Bank as strategic partner with live data center expansion mandate

Aurionpro Solutions Limited has secured a strategic data centre infrastructure expansion project from IDBI Bank Limited, marking Aurionpro’s entry into the bank as a new enterprise account and strengthening its footprint in mission-critical digital infrastructure for the BFSI sector.

The mandate involves a comprehensive upgrade of IDBI Bank’s existing data centre, covering electrical systems, cooling, physical security and allied MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) components. What makes the engagement particularly significant is that the entire upgrade will be executed in a live data centre environment, without disrupting ongoing banking operations.

According to people familiar with the project, the infrastructure migration and expansion will be carried out with zero downtime, a requirement that places the initiative among the most complex technology infrastructure upgrades undertaken by the bank. The transition from the existing setup to the new architecture is being planned with precision-led execution to ensure uninterrupted business continuity.

Aurionpro will deploy a specialised team of design and execution experts who will work closely with IDBI Bank’s on-site operations teams and central IT stakeholders. The collaboration underscores Aurionpro’s experience in managing high-availability environments where even minimal service disruption is unacceptable.

With this win, Aurionpro is further positioning itself as a single-window data centre solutions provider, offering end-to-end services that span site due diligence, design and engineering, master planning, ROI analysis, MEP execution, and round-the-clock operations and maintenance.

Commenting on the engagement, Bhaskar Bhattacharya, EVP – Enterprise Businesses at Aurionpro, said the project reflects the confidence that large financial institutions place in the company’s ability to modernise critical infrastructure without impacting live systems. He added that beyond data centre modernisation, Aurionpro sees potential to support IDBI Bank’s broader digital transformation initiatives through its AurionAI portfolio, as banks increasingly move toward AI-driven, digital-first operating models.

The deal comes at a time when Indian banks are accelerating investments in resilient, scalable data centre infrastructure to support growing digital transaction volumes, regulatory requirements and emerging AI workloads—making execution certainty and zero-downtime delivery key differentiators for technology partners.
