AWS announces availability of new Asia Pacific Mumbai region

AWS has announced the immediate availability of the new Asia Pacific (Mumbai) Region. Mumbai joins Beijing, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo as the sixth AWS Region in Asia and as the thirteenth worldwide, bringing the total number of AWS Availability Zones to 35 worldwide.

The new Mumbai Region is currently available for multiple services, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), and Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS).  AWS has more than 75,000 active customers in India
