Bharat Exhibitions hosted the inaugural Bharat Private 5G Networks Summit 2026 in Mumbai, bringing together senior leaders from enterprises, telecom operators, technology vendors, system integrators and policymakers to examine the evolving role of private 5G networks in India’s digital infrastructure landscape.
Held at the Radisson Blu Mumbai International Airport, the one-day summit focused on enterprise deployment models, spectrum options, regulatory considerations and the measurement of return on investment (ROI) from private 5G implementations. Positioned as a dedicated platform for private 5G in India, the event explored how ultra-reliable, low-latency connectivity can support use cases across manufacturing, ports, logistics hubs, campuses, utilities, healthcare and public services.
Discussions highlighted the transition of private 5G from pilot projects to production deployments, with enterprises seeking clarity on technology choices, ecosystem readiness and business outcomes. Sessions covered spectrum frameworks, network architectures, edge computing, device ecosystems, cybersecurity considerations, integration with existing IT and OT systems, and financing models for large-scale rollouts.
Shashi Dharan, Managing Director at Bharat Exhibitions, said the summit aimed to serve as a neutral forum for stakeholders to share deployment experiences and collaborate on shaping India’s private 5G roadmap as adoption accelerates across sectors.
The event featured keynote addresses and panel discussions with representatives from government bodies, ports, telecom operators and technology providers. Speakers emphasised private 5G as a complement to public networks, particularly for mission-critical and industrial use cases requiring deterministic performance, enhanced security and localised control.
Industry perspectives were shared by leaders from organisations including Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Powergrid Teleservices Limited, port authorities, system integrators, and consulting firms. Discussions underscored the role of private 5G in enabling automation, real-time analytics, improved safety, and Industry 4.0 outcomes.
The summit concluded with a consensus that clearer policy frameworks, faster execution and cross-industry collaboration will be critical to scaling private 5G deployments and unlocking measurable productivity and efficiency gains across India’s enterprise ecosystem.
