Celonis & Oracle expand cloud AI partnership

Celonis has announced an expanded collaboration with Oracle to help enterprises industrialise AI adoption and accelerate IT modernisation by combining process intelligence with scalable cloud infrastructure.

At the core of this partnership is the ability to deploy the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enabling organisations to analyse, optimise, and automate end-to-end business processes across finance, supply chain, and core enterprise functions. This builds on existing integrations with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, creating a tightly coupled ecosystem for data-driven operations.

From a technology perspective, the collaboration introduces a powerful combination of process mining, AI, and cloud-scale compute, allowing enterprises to embed intelligence directly into workflows. Celonis acts as an “intelligence layer” by creating a digital twin of business operations, giving AI systems the contextual understanding required to move beyond task automation toward autonomous, outcome-driven execution.

This architecture enables organisations to enhance AI-driven workflows by integrating process intelligence into AI services running on OCI, ensuring that decisions are grounded in real-time operational data. It also allows enterprises to identify high-impact automation opportunities, track value realisation, and orchestrate processes seamlessly across Oracle applications, third-party systems, and custom environments.

A key use case lies in enterprise modernisation, where Celonis helps organisations analyse legacy systems, benchmark performance, and reduce migration risks when transitioning to cloud-based ERP environments such as Oracle Fusion Cloud. This positions process intelligence as a critical enabler of data-led transformation and risk-aware migration strategies.

According to Bastian Nominacher, AI systems require deep operational context to be effective, and process intelligence provides that foundation. Chris Gandolfo highlighted OCI’s role in delivering the performance, scalability, and security required for running data-intensive AI and enterprise workloads at scale.

As enterprises increasingly standardise on cloud platforms for AI, this collaboration reflects a broader shift towards integrated AI ecosystems, where infrastructure, applications, and process intelligence converge. By combining Celonis’ process-centric insights with Oracle’s cloud and AI capabilities, the partnership aims to enable organisations to move from experimentation to scalable, measurable enterprise AI deployment.
