CMS Info Systems has appointed William Poole VIII (Will Poole) as Additional Director (Independent), bringing experience in technology businesses, venture investing and artificial intelligence to the company’s board as it expands its technology and payments business.
Poole is Managing Partner and Co-founder of Capria Ventures, where he also serves as Chief AI Evangelist. He previously spent more than 12 years at Microsoft, rising to Corporate Vice President and leading multiple business lines, including the company’s Windows desktop business. He also led Microsoft’s efforts to adapt its products for mass-market customers in emerging economies.
Poole joined Microsoft in 1996 following its acquisition of eShop, an e-commerce company he co-founded. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Brown University and is co-author of the upcoming book Flourishing with AI.
CMS said the appointment comes as it accelerates investments in Vision AI, data and automation. The company operates across ATM management, retail and currency logistics, and technology and payments, and is working towards its 2030 ambitions as a technology-led business services platform.
