eGovWatch: AP CM Naidu launches portal on land records

Andhra Pradesh government launched a portal that makes land details and several other related information available to the people.

The portal, `mee Bhoomi’ – a digital repository of land records in the state – was launched by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

It also contains details of land owners, water source, soil type, nature of possession of the land, liabilities, tenancy and crops grown, among others, an official release said.

Other than survey number or `pattadar’ (title holder) number, the website also gives an option of entering Aadhaar card number to view land details.

Users can also search for their Field Measurement Book or FMB (a key land record document) through this website.

With respect to grievances related to land, people can register a complaint at their nearest `mee-seva’  (citizen-
service) centre which will be processed within 15 days, it said.

“Making the portal mobile-friendly, the government has also launched an Android app,” the release added.
