The Billing Information System for Water and Sewer (BISWAS) scheme is a significant one under which all prescribed fees, starting with that while applying for drinking water and sewer connections, would be payable online.
Haryana government has launched online citizen service ‘BISWAS’, which allows online application for new water and sewer connections and online payment of water and sewer bills.
The service was launched by Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu.
Abhimanyu said that the Billing Information System for Water and Sewer (BISWAS) scheme is a significant one under which all prescribed fees, starting with that while applying for drinking water and sewer connections, would be payable online.
People residing in urban areas would greatly benefit from this scheme as they would not have to visit the department over and over again, he said.
