Flipkart joins hands with CSC eGovernance Services India Limited

Flipkart, today said that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CSC SPV (CSC eGovernance Services India Limited) which will enable the eCommerce giant help Common Service Centers (CSCs). The mission which is called “Flipkart Karigaar ke Dwaar”, will leverage the eCommerce giant’s platform.

The MoU lays emphasis on development of ancillary industries (packaging, logistics) and employment avenues in rural areas, reducing rural migration and enhancing the revenue generation opportunities of CSCs.

The partnership will offer rural artisans and MSME’s the opportunity to build and establish their brands nationally, access to financial, marketing and supply chain support and at the same time will generate employment and enhance rural economy.

Commenting on this partnership, Joy Bandekar, Corporate President, Flipkart said, “India is home to millions of rural artisans and we believe that as India’s largest marketplace platform, we can offer them a larger platform to grow and expand their businesses. This partnership with CSC SPV will help us provide the rural artisan and MSME community the support needed to market their products across the country.”
