HCLTech, NetApp expand partnership to accelerate enterprise AI

HCLTech and NetApp have expanded their collaboration to offer hybrid cloud storage-as-a-service (STaaS), aimed at helping enterprises scale AI and data-driven workloads. The solution combines a consumption-based infrastructure model with support for AI and GenAI applications alongside traditional enterprise systems.

The offering integrates HCLTech’s Utility for Everything (U4X) digital infrastructure framework with NetApp Keystone, its pay-as-you-go storage service. This enables organisations to scale storage, performance and data services based on changing workload requirements, while supporting AI development, deployment and operations through HCLTech’s AI Factory suite.

By combining HCLTech’s consumption-led operating model with NetApp’s data management capabilities, the companies aim to help enterprises move from AI pilots to broader deployment. The offering is designed to strengthen data readiness and governance while allowing organisations to run workloads closer to where data resides.

The companies said the offering builds on deployments across industries where organisations have modernised data infrastructure and adopted consumption-based operating models. These include a global food and beverage company that improved operational flexibility and reduced upfront investments, and a European telecommunications provider that improved scalability and resilience across distributed environments while meeting regulatory requirements.

Alvaro Celis, Chief Partner and Ecosystem Officer at NetApp, said, “We believe strong partnerships are built by co-creating technology offerings, business models, solutions and services that deliver meaningful customer value. This collaboration gives customers access to NetApp’s intelligent data infrastructure through a flexible, accessible business model, backed by HCLTech’s hands-on expertise.”

Rampal Singh, Senior Vice President, Hybrid Cloud Business Unit at HCLTech, said, “Our collaboration with NetApp reflects our focus on helping enterprises scale AI in a pragmatic and efficient way. By combining flexible infrastructure models with strong data management capabilities, we are enabling clients to unlock the value of their data and accelerate their AI journeys.”
