What is Layer0?

What is the R&D that went behind?
Layer0 solves traditional CDN problems by integrating edge logic into the application code, allowing builders to control the edge in JavaScript. This means two important things: First, Dynamic data can be served from the edge as often as possible. Layer0 caches dynamic data at the edge, so that elements that are typically slow to load are cached and served instantly for the user. Second, Data can be served as close to the user as possible. With Layer0, the browser turns into an extension of the edge network through predictive prefetching. This leads to instantaneous page loads, as there is no network to wait for.
