LTM opens Global Delivery and AI Competency Center in Kolkata

LTM has inaugurated a Global Delivery and AI Competency Center in Kolkata, expanding its presence in West Bengal and adding to its network of delivery centres in India.

The facility was inaugurated by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari in the presence of S. N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director of Larsen & Toubro, along with senior leadership from L&T and LTM and other dignitaries.

According to LTM, the centre will support its global delivery operations and AI initiatives while creating opportunities for technology professionals in West Bengal and neighbouring states.

The company said Kolkata’s education ecosystem, talent base and digital infrastructure were among the factors behind its decision to establish the centre in the city. The facility is expected to function as a base for collaboration, technology development and delivery work for LTM’s global clients.

“West Bengal is emerging as a preferred destination for technology and AI-driven investments,” said Suvendu Adhikari, Chief Minister of West Bengal. “LTM’s decision to establish and expand its presence in Kolkata reinforces the state’s strengths in talent, innovation and digital infrastructure.”

N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director, Larsen & Toubro, said the centre reflected the group’s continued investment in India’s technology and innovation ecosystem.

“The inauguration of LTM’s Global Delivery & AI Competency Center in Kolkata reflects L&T Group’s continued commitment to investing in India’s growth story,” he said. “By expanding into high-potential regions and creating opportunities for local communities, we are helping build a stronger foundation for innovation, technology-led progress and inclusive economic development.”

For LTM, the Kolkata centre is also intended to tap the city’s existing technology talent as demand for AI-related capabilities increases.

“Kolkata’s deep talent pool, strong academic heritage and growing digital ecosystem make it a strategic location for LTM,” said Venu Lambu, CEO and Managing Director, LTM. “As AI reshapes industries, our Global Delivery & AI Competency Center in Kolkata will help us harness local talent, build future-ready skills and deliver next-generation solutions for global clients while contributing to West Bengal’s technology-led growth.”
