Mphasis has extended its partnership with Social Security Scotland under an agreement valued at approximately £35.4 million to manage and maintain the agency’s core benefits management platform.
The platform supports benefits administration for around 2 million citizens across Scotland, including benefit applications, eligibility decisions and payments. Under the agreement, Mphasis will provide support and maintenance for Social Security. Scotland’s core benefits case management platform, with a focus on service continuity, stability and resilience.

Mphasis said its role will focus on maintaining reliable access to the platform and reducing the risk of operational disruption caused by major incidents or inefficiencies.
“Our ongoing relationship with Social Security Scotland allows us to continue to support one of the country’s most critical public service platforms,” said Ashish Devalekar, executive vice president and head of Europe, Mphasis. “Our commitment is to maintain continuity, improve operational efficiency and deliver meaningful outcomes for individuals and families across Scotland.”
