In a recent interview with Express Computer, Sandeep Gupta, Chief Digital, and Information Officer, Cairn Oil & Gas opines that the new initiative will enable Cairn to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its exploration and production activities through the use of advanced data analytics and digital technologies —- and thereby enable energy security for India.
In this journey, developing the most advanced technologies is a key business imperative today as India doubles down on its goal of reducing import dependence and achieving energy atmanirbharta. The organisation is aggressively pursuing a cloud-first strategy where we prioritize deploying new solutions on the cloud completely and are migrating existing on-premises computing onto the public cloud with a plan to migrate around 80% of workloads onto the cloud.
