Adobe launches Creative Cloud 2014, mobile apps and compatible hardware

Adobe has released update to its Creative Cloud, which comes with 14 new versions of Creative Cloud desktop apps, as well as four new mobile apps.

The company also unveiled its stylus and ruler set  Adobe Ink and Adobe Slide for iPad. The set  has been based on the Project Mighty and Napoleon prototype models and will be available in the US for about $199 to begin with.

“Later, it will be sold in other markets as well. However, the set is available on the hardware partner Adonit’s online store,” said Umang Bedi , Managing Director-South Asia, Adobe Systems India, adding that the new release Creative Cloud 2014 has features to deal with the  major trends in the industry— rapid pace of change in technology, mobile explosion and super connected world.

The company recently announced its second quarter results, reporting $1.07 billion revenues. Bedi said the company is witnessing a great traction around the Creative Cloud offering. According to the company there are about 2.3 million Creative Cloud subscriptions, far exceeding their expectations.

While for the photography customers, Adobe has announced a new Creative Cloud Photography plan at Rs 499 a month, the pricing model for the enterprises hasn’t been changed and the solution has been priced at Rs 4,292 a month. “Over the last year we have got about 250 mega contracts from enterprises using the existing pricing model,” Bedi said.
