Better Capital launches maiden fund to scale its seed strategy

India-focused venture firm Better Capital, has raised its maiden fund to scale its pre-seed and seed investment strategy backing Indian founders building for India and building for the world. With a growing portfolio of 125+ companies & several breakout stories like Open, M2P Fintech, Teachmint, Slice, Jupiter, Khatabook & others who are on the path to becoming unicorns, Better Capital continues to be a sought-after venture firm.

Better Capital Ventures I is a US$ 15.28 million fund backed by investors who are former or current leaders at Meta (Facebook), Google, Uber, LinkedIn, Tiger Global, TPG, other top 10 growth venture and hedge funds, The World Bank and more. All backers were carefully selected based on the value add they would bring to the Better Capital portfolio and founders. Based on Better’s track record of investing in India’s breakout companies since 2018, the fund was oversubscribed in record time.
