Cellebrite brings its integrated in-store solution for mobile retail in India

Cellebrite, a global mobile data transfer solutions provider has introduced Cellebrite DeskTop, a first-of-its kind PC-based application suite for the mobile retail market. It allows mobile retailers to offer a host of data-centric aftermarket services including diagnostics to enhance customers’ service experience and increase revenues.

Moreover, the solution runs on a general-purpose PC and eliminates the added cost associated with dedicated hardware, enabling mobile retailers reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).

“India is one of the largest consumers of mobile services, with an average device replacement lifecycle of 24 months. With the smartphone segment witnessing rapid growth, the mobile phone is becoming the default access device for personal and professional information, and the safety and availability of mobile data is therefore crucial,” said Dave Golding, Cellebrite’s General Manager APAC.

“Cellebrite DeskTop fulfills the mobile retailers’ need to deliver high-quality data-centric aftermarket services at lower TCO. At the same time, consumers can upgrade their phone, knowing that their data is wiped out from their old phone, and is transferred securely to the new device,” added Golding.

Cellebrite DeskTop is claimed to the industry’s first solution to combine multiple features in one integrated platform. These include phone-to-phone content transfer, backup and restore, a fully automated phone trade-in program, application content and delivery. Retailers can also deliver robust diagnostics including the unique capability to “detect and correct” smartphone problems.

Cellebrite DeskTop is now available across major cities in India. Cellebrite will also introduce its other mobile retail solutions such as the Cellebrite Touch, UME-36Pro, via the company’s authorised distributor, Planet 41 Mobi-Venture.

The company also offers mobile forensics solutions which enable law enforcement, defence, intelligence and corporate security agencies to recover and investigate evidence from mobile devices. Pyramid Cyber Security & Forensics has been authorised to distribute Cellebrite’s mobile forensics range, the UFED series, in India.
