The initiative marks Fluke’s progression from Class-II to Class-I Local Supplier status in India, with local manufacturing capabilities for the Fluke 115 and 117 digital multimeters.
Fluke Corporation today announced a new local manufacturing initiative in India, marking a step in expanding its manufacturing capabilities within the country. The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s Make in India programme and reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.
Under the theme “Proudly Progressing with India”, the initiative marks Fluke’s efforts to deepen its presence in the Indian market. By building manufacturing capabilities locally, the company aims to strengthen its engagement with customers, industries and technical professionals while contributing to India’s industrial ecosystem.
As India advances in manufacturing, infrastructure, energy and technology, demand for precision measurement, safety and reliability continues to grow. Fluke said the initiative would help align its operations more closely with the needs of India’s industrial sector while maintaining its global standards for quality, reliability and precision.
Commenting on the launch, Parker Burke, President of Fluke Corporation, said, “India is an increasingly important market for Fluke, and our progression from Class-II to Class-I Local Supplier status marks a significant milestone in our journey. We are proud to be at the forefront of investment in India’s growing industrial market, building on the strength of our local team and increasing our manufacturing presence. This investment aligns with our global strategy of investing in the countries where our customers live and work, reinforcing our long-term commitment to the country.”
The first phase introduces local manufacturing capabilities for the Fluke 115 and Fluke 117 digital multimeters, including the manufacture of their printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), a key electronic component in the products. The development marks an initial step in the company’s efforts to expand local manufacturing in India.
Jaison Isaac, Managing Director of Fluke India, said, “We are seeing firsthand the pace of India’s industrial growth and the increasing demand for precision and reliability. This investment reflects our confidence in the Indian market and our commitment to building local capabilities that support its long-term industrial ambitions.”
He added, “Aligned with the objectives of the Government’s Make in India initiative, this milestone marks an important step in Fluke’s journey, from serving the Indian market to building manufacturing capabilities within it. This is a proud moment for our team, customers and partners who have helped us reach this point. It marks the beginning of a new chapter as we deepen our presence in India and contribute to the country’s industrial future.”
The initiative aligns with India’s broader focus on strengthening domestic manufacturing and industrial capabilities. For Fluke, the first phase establishes a foundation for local manufacturing while supporting industrial operations through precision measurement and testing solutions.
