“The Budget has laid a strong emphasis on sustainable infrastructure development. The Gati Shakti program and the expansion of highway network by 25,000 km this year, will boost infrastructure modernization for the rapid movement of goods in the country, and generate employment. The government has continued its digitalization efforts with a focus on 5G auction this year. A new scheme has been proposed for bringing design led manufacturing for 5G ecosystem as part of PLI scheme, which would enable affordable broadband and mobile communication in rural and remote areas. The 1.5 lakh post offices network will be brought under the core banking system, enhancing digital integration. The launch of digital rupee using block chain technology will enable speedier commerce. Overall, it is Budget for promoting the country’s aspirations of growing digitally.”
