Nayan Trivedi to head Pacent’s Carrier Services in APAC

Pacnet, a provider of full-service managed data and network solutions in the Asia Pacific region, today announced the appointment of Nayan Trivedi as the Account Director for Carrier Services.  
 
Trivedi will be responsible for managing current carrier and service provider customers, and identifying, developing, and supporting new wholesale opportunities based in India as part of Pacnet’s Carrier Services organization led by John Garrett and report to Managing Director – India, Sunanda Das.

The appointment of Trivedi follows the announcement of the completion of Pacnet’s Content Delivery Network (CDN) Point of Presence (PoP) in Bangalore in May. The new Bangalore PoP, which complements Pacnet’s existing CDN PoP in Mumbai, completes the company’s comprehensive portfolio of CDN solutions in India and the Asia-Pacific region.
 
Pacnet operates the most extensive sub-sea fiber optic network in Asia Pacific connecting major markets with multiple landing stations and interconnected data centers. Over the past several months, it has announced a new data center build in Singapore, the opening of its facility in Chongqing, China, and an expansion of its Sydney, Australia facility. The company also announced an additional investment into its sub-sea fiber networks to buil a 100 Gbps network, and an expansion of its IP VPN license in China.

Trivedi brings over 16 years of professional experience working in the telecommunications and
international wholesale market to his new position. He held the position of senior manager – carrier sales with Bharti between 2005 and 2010. He joined Tata Communications Ltd. in 2010 as Deputy General Manager where he was responsible for managing large carrier customers as part of the Global Carrier Solution team. He also previously worked with Parsec Technologies Ltd., and Zenith Computers Ltd.
