Autodesk has elevated Nikhil Bagalkotkar as Head – Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC), India and SAARC, effective immediately. In his new role, he will lead Autodesk’s AEC business strategy across the region, focusing on customer and partner engagement and the adoption of digital workflows across the design, engineering and construction lifecycle.
Bagalkotkar will focus on expanding Autodesk’s AEC business and driving the adoption of digital design and construction technologies to help organisations improve project outcomes and build more sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
With nearly 20 years of experience as a technology and business leader, Bagalkotkar has been with Autodesk for seven years and most recently served as head of technical sales for India. During his tenure, he worked with sales, technical sales, marketing, customer success and partner teams to support organisations in their digital transformation initiatives across design, engineering and construction.

Bagalkotkar’s experience spans customer success, market development and ecosystem collaboration. Prior to Autodesk, he held leadership positions at Citrix, IBM and EMC Systems, including roles in technical and business leadership and as chief technologist.
He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT), Pune.
