Tech firm Cube26 raises funding from Tiger Global Management

Cube26, popularly known for its customized Android experience and gesture technology like “Blink to Capture” and “Look Away to Pause” for Panasonic and Micromax, respectively, will employ the funding for business expansion and the development of new technologies.

Cube26, an India based technology innovation focussed company has raised capital from Tiger Global Management.

Cube26, popularly known for its customized Android experience and gesture technology like “Blink to Capture” and “Look Away to Pause” for Panasonic and Micromax, respectively, will employ the funding for business expansion and the development of new technologies.

The company also plans to further develop software products and work on smarter devices in the IoT (Internet of Things) segment. With a suite of innovative utility applications, software and hardware, Cube26 envisions emerging as an indigenous technology player in the global ecosystem.

“Our team of passionate technologists is working to create smarter devices and new opportunities to leverage IoT (Internet of Things) for India and global market,” said Saurav Kumar, CEO & Co-Founder, Cube26.

Cube26 software currently resides on more than 5 million devices, or 4 percent of all mobile users in India. The company seeks to revolutionize the device experience for users across different platforms through cutting-edge innovation. According to a research by Cisco, the number of smartphones grew by 54 percent in 2014 to 140 million, and the number of smartphones will grow 4.7-fold between 2014 and 2019 to a total of 651 million.
