Datadog has promoted Namit D’Cruz to Regional Vice President for Enterprise, India and SAARC, as demand accelerates across the region for observability, security and AI-led operations.

In the expanded role, D’Cruz will move beyond leading Datadog’s enterprise business in southern India to shaping and executing the company’s enterprise strategy across India and the broader SAARC region. His responsibilities include deepening existing customer engagements, building new enterprise relationships and supporting regional growth across sales, in-country support, alliances and channel partnerships, marketing and SDR operations.

The company said the appointment reflects growing enterprise requirements for end-to-end visibility and governance, particularly as organisations shift from AI pilots to production deployments.

Commenting on the focus areas, D’Cruz noted that as AI adoption expands across customer experience, automation and operational efficiency, enterprises will require stronger observability, reliability and risk controls across AI-driven systems. He added that Datadog’s platform supports visibility across key layers of the AI stack—including infrastructure, GPUs, models and agents while addressing cost management and responsible AI adoption.

Rob Thorne, Vice President, APJ at Datadog, said India has emerged as a key growth market for the company, driven by increased adoption of cloud platforms, security tooling and AI-enabled operations. He added that D’Cruz’s leadership and understanding of the regional enterprise market will be important as Datadog scales its presence across India and SAARC.

D’Cruz brings more than 20 years of experience in cloud and digital transformation. Prior to Datadog, he held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, where he worked on scaling strategic digital-native business initiatives in India.
