The meeting, hosted by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology and Biotechnology, focused on Karnataka’s strategy to position GCCs as centres for innovation, research and product development. Takeda’s delegation, led by Lauren Duprey, Chief Transformation Officer, met with state officials, including Dr Manjula N., IAS, Secretary, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, along with representatives from the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and the Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre.

The state government also highlighted its Katalyst initiative, a single-window facilitation programme for GCCs, as well as collaboration opportunities with research organisations including the Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre and C-CAMP.

“Karnataka has built a globally competitive ecosystem where Global Capability Centres are increasingly driving innovation, research, and digital transformation for enterprises across sectors,” said Dr Manjula N., IAS, Secretary, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology.
