Speaker in this video:
Fireside Chat with Siddharth Gupta, Principal Architect – Central Platforms, Meesho
Moderator: Sayantan Mondal, Senior Correspondent, Express Computer
Topic: Rethinking Infrastructure for AI
Key Highlights:
[1] AI is no longer just a feature; AI is becoming the primary workload.
[2] Data movement is the actual pressure-building point.
[3] The ability to move data efficiently across compute clusters is one of the most important properties right now.
[4] Cost is not just a finance problem anymore; it is an engineering problem.
[5] The focus on efficiency has to be there everywhere — from using the right model to utilizing power and cooling in the most efficient way.
[6] AI is fundamentally reshaping data-center infrastructure — shifting the focus from compute and GPUs alone to efficient data movement, intelligent model selection, platformization, energy efficiency, and sustainable power and cooling.
