VapusData launches an AI operating system for governed enterprise workflows

0 0

VapusData has introduced VapusData OS, a decentralised AI data operating system designed to help enterprises deploy AI-powered workflows across existing data, applications and infrastructure while retaining governance and operational controls.

The platform connects enterprise systems with AI models, data products and agentic workflows, enabling organisations to automate processes without building separate environments for individual use cases. Its capabilities include data connectors, data lineage, model management, workflow orchestration, application programming interfaces (APIs) and observability, with security, traceability and governance integrated into the operating layer.

VapusData said the platform is designed to help enterprises move AI initiatives from experimentation to production without requiring them to replace existing systems or compromise established business rules.

“We are launching VapusData OS at a point when enterprise AI is moving from experimentation to execution. Businesses have spent years building systems that hold their data, processes and institutional knowledge. The next challenge is making AI work within that environment without compromising control or forcing organisations to rebuild what already works,” said Vikrant Singh, CEO and co-founder, VapusData.

“The future of enterprise AI is not about adding another intelligence layer but creating an operating environment where AI can understand context, work across systems and act within business rules,” he added.

Finance automation records production deployments

One application built on the platform is VapusFin, which automates finance workflows spanning accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, taxation, claims, accounting and reporting.

According to the company, VapusFin has processed more than two million documents autonomously, including approximately 100,000 invoices a day for a large retail organisation. Production deployments have recorded first-pass extraction accuracy of more than 99%.

In one deployment, the exception rate fell from 18% to 2%, while the weekly reconciliation effort declined from 40 hours to two hours.

These figures indicate the potential operational impact of applying AI to document-intensive finance processes, although the company has not specified the measurement periods or methodologies used to calculate the reported results.

Agentic execution with human oversight

VapusData OS incorporates Nabhik AI, an agentic execution layer designed to manage workflows from initiation through completion. Its agents can extract and validate information, reconcile records, apply business rules, route approvals and write results back to enterprise systems.

The execution layer includes policy controls, approval checkpoints, human oversight and audit trails. These mechanisms are intended to keep automated actions within defined business parameters and provide visibility into how workflows are executed.

The platform supports 50 production connectors across enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, databases, applications and AI model providers. Supported systems include SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks and Odoo.

VapusData OS can be deployed in cloud, on-premises and air-gapped environments. The company also reports holding ISO 9001, ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and SLSA Level 3 certifications, alongside GDPR compliance.

Applications across enterprise sectors

VapusData said the platform is being applied across finance, retail, e-commerce, banking and insurance, real estate, logistics, education and cash management.

Reported production deployments include automated claims processing involving more than 3,000 vendors, cash-management reconciliation supporting approximately 40,000 ATMs, and document intelligence that has made around 3,000 lease agreements queryable.

The launch reflects a broader enterprise AI challenge: moving beyond standalone models and pilots towards systems that can operate across business applications while maintaining control over data access, decisions and execution. VapusData is positioning its operating system as a way to connect these capabilities with existing enterprise infrastructure.
