Cloudera adds four partners to enterprise AI ecosystem for hybrid AI deployments

0 8

Cloudera has expanded its Enterprise AI Ecosystem with Mistral AI, VAST Data, Neo4j and Cartesia, adding capabilities in AI models, data infrastructure, knowledge graphs and voice technology for enterprise deployments.

Announced on October 28, 2026, at EVOLVE26 in New York, the expansion builds on Cloudera’s existing ecosystem partnerships and its Anywhere Cloud platform. The company said the expanded ecosystem is intended to help enterprises build and operate AI factories across public cloud, private cloud and on-premises environments.

Cloudera describes AI factories as environments that use governed enterprise data to generate insights and support autonomous actions. The expanded ecosystem addresses different requirements in this process, including connecting enterprise information, selecting models for specific tasks, enabling voice-based interactions and supplying data to AI infrastructure.

Neo4j adds knowledge graph capabilities

Neo4j’s partnership with Cloudera brings knowledge graphs and semantic context into the enterprise AI ecosystem. Knowledge graphs represent relationships between entities and information, allowing AI systems to retrieve connected information rather than treating individual data points in isolation.

According to Cloudera, this capability can help AI agents understand relationships between customers, products, transactions and business processes. Combined with Cloudera’s governed data foundation, it is intended to support systems that retrieve information, identify relationships and use that context to inform actions.

Sudhir Hasbe, president and chief product officer at Neo4j, said the partnership would connect relational data with semantic context across public and private cloud environments.

The companies said the combination of Cloudera’s Open Data Lakehouse and Neo4j’s Graph Intelligence Platform would allow organisations to query large datasets, identify relationships and support enterprise AI deployments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

Cartesia brings voice capabilities to AI agents

The ecosystem expansion also includes Cartesia, which provides speech generation and transcription technology for voice-based AI agents.

Cloudera said Cartesia’s capabilities would support voice agents operating in customer-controlled environments. The approach is intended to give enterprises additional options for deploying voice interfaces while retaining control over sensitive conversations and data.

Cartesia reports speech-generation latency below 90 milliseconds. Its Sonic-3.6 model ranked first on both Artificial Analysis speech arena leaderboards at launch, according to the announcement.

Karan Goel, CEO and co-founder of Cartesia, said the partnership would support the deployment of real-time voice agents in organisations with strict data governance and sovereignty requirements.

The addition expands the types of AI interfaces available through the ecosystem beyond text-based interactions. Enterprises can consider voice technology for applications where spoken communication and rapid responses are required, subject to their deployment and governance requirements.

Mistral expands model options

Cloudera’s existing strategic partnership with Mistral remains part of its approach to sovereign AI inference. The announcement highlighted Mistral’s expanding model portfolio, including its announced 1.05-trillion-parameter Large 4 model, Timestral forecasting models and Robostral for embodied navigation.

It also cited Mistral’s engineering collaboration with NVIDIA and its scientific AI work with CERN as examples of specialised AI development beyond conversational applications.

The range of models gives enterprises options for matching AI capabilities to different workloads, taking into account requirements such as model performance, latency and computing resources.

Marjorie Janiewicz, chief revenue officer at Mistral, said the partnership would combine Mistral’s models and products with Cloudera’s hybrid data platform. She said this would support organisations in building, training and deploying customised AI using proprietary data, with governance across different environments.

VAST Data focuses on AI infrastructure

The fourth component is Cloudera’s previously announced partnership with VAST Data, which focuses on data infrastructure for AI and analytics workloads.

The companies are addressing the challenge of keeping graphics processing units (GPUs) supplied with data. When data cannot be delivered quickly enough to processors, GPU capacity may remain underused. VAST Data’s storage architecture is designed to provide high-throughput, low-latency data access.

According to the announcement, VAST’s architecture supports Cloudera’s containerised data services and is intended to improve data delivery, GPU utilisation and the performance of AI and analytics workloads across Anywhere Cloud.

Jeff Denworth, co-founder of VAST Data, said enterprises often already possess the data required for AI, but need infrastructure that can support continuous inference, model fine-tuning and data analysis.

The partnership aims to connect enterprise data and computing infrastructure to support the development and operation of AI applications across hybrid environments.

Focus on hybrid and sovereign AI deployments

Cloudera said the expanded ecosystem would provide enterprises with more options across the AI technology stack. Its Anywhere Cloud platform is designed to provide a consistent operating model across public cloud, private cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

The company said the approach is intended to give customers greater flexibility in meeting performance, cost and data sovereignty requirements. Its expanded portfolio of joint solutions and validated reference architectures is also intended to reduce integration work and improve total cost of ownership.

The four partnerships address different parts of enterprise AI deployment: Neo4j provides knowledge graph capabilities, Cartesia adds voice technology, Mistral expands model options, and VAST Data focuses on data infrastructure.

Together, these additions extend Cloudera’s existing Enterprise AI Ecosystem as organisations move towards deploying AI agents and applications using their own data and infrastructure.
