Synology has announced a range of new data management, infrastructure and collaboration solutions, introducing updates across its DiskStation Manager (DSM) platform, data protection portfolio, surveillance ecosystem, collaboration tools and personal cloud offerings.
The announcements reflect the growing focus among enterprises on AI-ready infrastructure, cyber resilience, hybrid cloud management and data sovereignty as organisations increasingly seek greater control over their data environments.
Next-generation DSM targets AI and enterprise workloads
A key highlight of the launch is the next generation of Synology’s DiskStation Manager (DSM), which has been designed to support AI-driven and enterprise-scale deployments.
The updated platform introduces support for GPU-enabled NAS systems and AI appliances, enabling organisations to run AI inference workloads on-premises. Synology has also introduced a new DSM Agent intended to automate workflows and system operations across managed environments.
For larger deployments, the company has expanded its infrastructure management capabilities with Cluster Manager, which enables centralised management of multiple systems through a single interface. New features include workload migration, quality-of-service controls and centralised data protection capabilities.
Additional enhancements include new mass deployment functionality within Active Insight for large-scale rollouts and updates to Log Center aimed at improving observability, security monitoring and compliance management.
Expanded data protection capabilities
Synology also announced updates to its ActiveProtect platform with the introduction of ActiveProtect Manager (APM) 2.0 and the new DP5200 appliance.
The latest version of APM extends support to additional environments, including Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines, Proxmox, Nutanix AHV and Google Workspace. The platform also introduces cross-platform recovery capabilities designed to improve resilience across hybrid cloud and virtualised environments.
To strengthen threat detection and response, Synology has incorporated AI-powered anomaly detection and malware identification capabilities within the platform.
The DP5200 appliance expands deployment options for organisations seeking dedicated data protection infrastructure.
Surveillance portfolio gains AI and hybrid cloud features
The company has also broadened its surveillance portfolio with new access control products, cameras and video analytics solutions.
New additions include the AC100 door controller, AR Series access readers and DC Series dome cameras. Synology has also introduced updated Deep Video Analytics (DVA) appliances featuring AI-powered semantic search and path-tracking capabilities.
To support distributed security operations, the company unveiled Surveillance365, a video surveillance-as-a-service (VSaaS) offering that integrates with on-premises Surveillance Station deployments. The platform is designed to provide unified monitoring across remote and multi-site environments through a hybrid cloud model.
Collaboration suite receives communication enhancements
Synology Office Suite has been expanded with the introduction of ChatPlus and Meet, adding enterprise collaboration and communication capabilities to the platform.
The new applications include administrative controls, permission management features and AI-powered transcription and translation functionality. Synology stated that all data processing remains within customer-controlled environments, supporting organisations with data privacy and compliance requirements.
Bee series expands personal cloud ecosystem
For consumers and home users, Synology announced additions to its Bee Series portfolio, including new BeeStation and BeeStation Plus models with expanded storage options.
The company also introduced BeeCamera, which enables home monitoring through BeeStation Plus deployments integrated with Synology cameras.
Additionally, Synology Deep Search brings AI-powered local search capabilities to Windows and macOS devices, allowing users to search personal content stored within their private cloud environments without relying on external services.
India remains a strategic growth market
Synology reported strong growth in India, citing a compound annual revenue growth rate of 40 per cent over the past five years.
Small and medium-sized businesses continue to represent the company’s largest customer segment in the country. However, Synology expects enterprise business to contribute approximately half of its overall revenue within the next three years.
The company identified government organisations, banking and financial services institutions, and media and entertainment companies among its key customer segments in India.
The announcements highlight Synology’s continued focus on delivering integrated infrastructure, data management and collaboration platforms as enterprises increasingly seek secure, AI-ready environments that balance operational efficiency with data control and governance requirements.
