Tenable expands AI security ecosystem with Open integration framework

0 8

Tenable has expanded its technology partner ecosystem with Tenable OPEN for AI, a programme designed to help enterprises integrate exposure intelligence with their preferred AI models, agents and security tools.

The initiative is part of the Tenable Open Partner Exchange Network (OPEN) and provides validated AI workflows to connect security platforms, enabling teams to investigate risks, prioritise vulnerabilities and accelerate response through integrated workflows.

The launch partners include BeyondTrust, Cohesity, Command Zero, Corelight, Infoblox, Recorded Future, Securonix, SentinelOne, Setyl, Snyk, Sparkle In and Splunk.

Tenable OPEN for AI supports both Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors and direct application programming interfaces (APIs). By connecting the Tenable Hexa AI MCP Server with partner MCP servers, organisations can access and correlate data across multiple security platforms through their existing AI tools, without developing custom integrations.

Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer at Tenable, said the programme is designed to give security teams flexibility in choosing AI tools and building agentic workflows, without tying them to a single proprietary platform.

Four key AI security use cases

The programme includes workflows addressing several security operations challenges:

  • Cross-platform security triage: Integrates SentinelOne endpoint analysis with Tenable exposure intelligence to help teams investigate alerts, vulnerable assets and misconfigurations through natural-language queries.
  • Network threat and blast-radius mapping: Combines Corelight network telemetry with Tenable asset data to assess potential attack impact and prioritise investigations.
  • Code-to-runtime risk correlation: Connects Snyk application security findings with Tenable runtime exposure data to determine whether code-level vulnerabilities are present in production environments.
  • Identity-enriched exposure triage: Combines BeyondTrust privileged account, session and entitlement information with Tenable findings to assess asset risk using identity context.

The workflows are available as documented implementations that teams can replicate using their preferred AI tools and the Tenable Hexa AI MCP Server. They are also offered as ready-to-use skills through CyberAgents Exchange, Tenable’s AI agent marketplace.

Through OPEN for AI, Tenable aims to improve coordination across security tools and help organisations move from identifying exposures to investigating and addressing risks with greater context.
