AI agent targets failed online payments with real-time gateway rerouting

PaySprint has made its conversational AI agent, PIX, available to enterprise merchants on its multi-gateway payment platform, SprintPGx. The agent allows businesses to modify payment routing rules, analyse failed transactions and monitor gateway performance through natural-language instructions.

PIX enables merchants to set routing conditions without requiring engineering support or vendor intervention. For instance, businesses can direct high-value credit card transactions to the gateway recording the highest success rate or route payments through lower-cost gateways during specified hours.

SprintPGx connects multiple payment gateways, including Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, PhonePe and Paytm, and routes transactions based on configurable rules. PaySprint claims the platform can process routing decisions in under 80 milliseconds and automatically switch gateways when one encounters failures.

PIX also analyses transaction error codes, recommends routing options based on gateway performance across card and bank combinations, and flags potential gateway performance issues.

The platform supports priority-based, load-balanced and AI-powered advanced routing. PaySprint said SprintPGx can handle more than 35,000 transactions per second and provides a unified dashboard for transaction monitoring, settlements, refunds and reconciliation.

The company has waived the platform fee for new enterprise merchants through the festive and year-end sales period.
