Devnagri AI expands beyond translation into enterprise language intelligence

0 1

Devnagri AI, a language technology company, is expanding beyond translation and localisation into an integrated language intelligence platform for enterprises adopting multilingual AI. The platform supports 22 Indian languages, more than 40 international languages and 5,000 dialects and is used by organisations across banking, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), insurance, fintech and government, according to the company.

Its services include AI-powered translation and transliteration, speech recognition, text-to-speech, optical character recognition (OCR), document intelligence, website and application localisation and multilingual voice and conversational AI. These capabilities are designed to support customer communication, document processing, digital services and workflow automation within existing enterprise systems.

Devnagri AI said its platform can be deployed across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments, allowing organisations to integrate language capabilities into their existing technology and security architectures rather than relying solely on standalone translation tools.

“Communication is for the receiver, and it only works when businesses speak to their audience in a way that connects,” said Nakul Kundra, co-founder of Devnagri AI. He said engaging customers in their own languages could help businesses build trust and expand their reach. While India remains the company’s core market, Devnagri AI is also exploring opportunities in other linguistically diverse regions, including the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Southeast Asia and Africa.

Founded in 2021 by Kundra and Himanshu Sharma, Devnagri AI initially focused on translation and localisation. The company is now positioning its technology as a language intelligence layer for enterprises seeking to incorporate multilingual capabilities into business workflows and make digital services, documents and customer interactions accessible across languages.
