Sanjib Sahoo, EVP, Global Technology and Chief Digital Officer of Ingram Micro, has been awarded the 2024 Hind Rattan Award- for “keeping the flag of India high”. The prestigious accolade is granted annually to eminent non-resident persons of Indian origin (NRIs) by the NRI Welfare Society of India (NRI Welfare Society Of India) in recognition of their outstanding services, achievements, and contributions in their respective fields.
Born and raised in India, Sahoo came to the United States to further his education and transform businesses. His proven ability to drive business forward while transforming organizations from the inside out has differentiated Sahoo throughout his career.
Today he is celebrated as an Indian-American business and technology icon known for his growth mindset and culture-centric, people-led approach to digital transformation. “The success of any digital transformation is more about your team – the talent within – than the technology,” said Sahoo.
A believer in the art of possible, Sahoo is credited with the successful digitization of two industries prior. In his current role as CDO for Ingram Micro, Sahoo is responsible for leading the digital transformation of a worldwide leader in technology distribution and the brainchild behind Xvantage.
In addition to the Hind Rattan Award, Sahoo was recently featured on the cover of Fortune India’s 2023 Unstoppables issue, which calls out five of today’s most influential personalities and business minds including Elon Musk. As written in Fortune India Magazine, “When it comes to trailblazing individuals who are and will continue to have a profound impact on the world of business and technology, Sanjib Sahoo is top of mind.”
