Nozomi Networks and Sophos unite IT and OT security operations

The partnership combines Nozomi Networks’ AI-enabled Vantage platform with Sophos Fusion to unify IT and OT visibility

Nozomi Networks and Sophos have announced an integration between Nozomi Networks Vantage, a cloud-native, AI-enabled OT security platform, and Sophos Fusion, an AI-native cybersecurity defence system, to improve visibility and threat detection across IT and OT environments.

The integration is aimed at addressing security challenges arising as organisations connect more industrial assets and adopt remote management capabilities. Critical infrastructure is increasingly targeted by both nation-state actors and cybercriminals, while compromises originating in IT environments can lead to OT outages.

The integration brings Nozomi Networks’ OT telemetry, asset intelligence and threat data into Sophos Fusion, where it can be correlated with security data from across IT environments. This enables security teams to access OT intelligence within their existing investigation workflows without switching between separate security consoles.

The partnership will enable correlation of security data across OT, endpoint, network, cloud and identity sources. It is also designed to provide greater context during investigations, reduce manual processes and support automated enrichment and response through Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) workflows.

Matt Cowell, Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Nozomi Networks, said, “The intersection of IT and OT environments has long been misunderstood by the cybersecurity industry, leading to inefficiencies and potential danger for critical infrastructure. This partnership helps solve these problems by seamlessly integrating OT intelligence into IT security investigations so teams have the full picture when assessing their increasingly expanding attack surface.”

Chris Bell, SVP of Global Channel and Alliances at Sophos, said, “Defenders need every resource they can to combat sophisticated threat actors. This partnership helps security teams easily assess OT and IT vulnerabilities in one place, allowing them to take action much faster.”

The companies said the integration is among the first major third-party technology integrations following the launch of Sophos Fusion, reflecting its focus on integrating security technologies into a unified defence system.
