Salesforce and Anthropic have announced Claudeforce, an expanded strategic partnership that connects Anthropic’s Claude with Salesforce’s enterprise data, workflows, business rules and governance capabilities.
The partnership launches with Salesforce in Claude, a plugin featuring 37 prebuilt sales skills. The companies said the capabilities will allow sellers and agents to work with live revenue information, update pipelines and take actions through Salesforce from within Claude.
The companies also plan to expand the integration across Claude, Salesforce and Slack.
Salesforce said Salesforce in Claude is enabled by AIforce, its enterprise framework for connecting business data and workflows to AI agents through MCP servers, APIs and CLI tools. The arrangement is intended to allow Claude to work with Salesforce information while actions continue to be governed by Salesforce’s existing business rules.
The initial sales capabilities include meeting preparation, deal-health reviews and pipeline reviews. Salesforce and Anthropic said the system can use information from Salesforce, Slack and other connected sources to generate a tailored dashboard containing accounts, pipeline information and other live data.
Administrators connect Salesforce in Claude once, with authentication and permissions managed centrally, according to the companies.
The partnership also extends in the other direction, with Claude available within Salesforce. Claude is being used as a reasoning model for the Atlas Reasoning Engine and is available in Agent Builder, while also powering Agentforce Vibes and Agentforce Coworker by default.
Through Amazon Bedrock, Claude is also available within the Salesforce Trust Boundary, which the companies said allows customers, including regulated organisations, to deploy domain-specific AI while keeping data and AI workloads within the boundary.
Slack is another part of the expanded arrangement. Claude is the default model for Slack and is being used across Slackbot, Claude Tag and Slack Code. The companies said the integration is intended to connect conversations and decision-making in Slack with actions carried out through Salesforce.
The relationship also includes reciprocal adoption. Salesforce is using Anthropic’s Claude across several internal and customer-facing applications, while Salesforce is Anthropic’s preferred CRM and Slack is its preferred multiplayer work platform for internal teams.
According to Salesforce, Slackbot has generated 8.1 million hours of annualised productivity gains for Salesforce employees, with the figure having more than doubled quarter over quarter. Salesforce also said Claude is the default model for Slack AI, Slackbot, Salesforce in Claude, Headless 360, Agentforce Coworker and Claude Code across its engineering organisation.
“We’re bringing together the world’s #1 AI and #1 CRM — the best of both worlds,” said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO, Salesforce. “By fusing Claude’s extraordinary reasoning with the trusted data, workflows, and governance every enterprise runs on, we’re delivering a dynamic interface that thinks, reasons, and acts.”
“We believe frontier intelligence should be safe, trusted, and deeply capable, which is why the world’s leading businesses turn to Claude for their most important work,” said Dario Amodei, CEO and Co-Founder, Anthropic. “Salesforce in Claude brings this same frontier intelligence into the systems where much of the world’s commercial activity happens.”
The expanded partnership positions Claude and Salesforce as components of a shared enterprise AI architecture, with the companies combining Claude’s reasoning and agent capabilities with Salesforce’s data, workflows, permissions and governance.
