Schreiber Foods partners with Ascendion to deploy agentic AI across global operations and software development

0 0

Schreiber Foods has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership with AI-native software engineering company Ascendion to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI across its global operations and software development, as the food and beverage manufacturer looks to enhance operational efficiency, customer service and long-term growth.

The collaboration will see Ascendion deploy AI-native technologies across Schreiber’s global capability centres, supporting operations that serve more than 10,000 employee-partners across over 40 locations spanning five continents. The initiative builds on Schreiber’s existing AI investments and aims to modernise business processes, improve decision-making and strengthen collaboration across its global network.

Schreiber Foods supplies dairy products, including cream cheese, natural cheese, processed cheese, beverages and yoghurt, to retailers, restaurants, distributors and food manufacturers in more than 95 countries.

Trevor Farrell, President of Schreiber Foods, said the partnership represents a significant step in the company’s digital transformation journey.

“To fuel Schreiber’s next era of rapid growth, we are taking a bold, transformational leap forward in how we operate and serve our customers. By leaning into next-generation, agentic AI with Ascendion, we are reinforcing the very foundation of what our customers rely on us for: world-class quality, safety, and service. This technology will empower our employee partners, accelerate our innovation, and allow us to deliver even greater impact at scale.”

AI to support operations, food safety and ERP modernisation

Under the agreement, AI agents will assist Schreiber teams in identifying quality and food safety signals more quickly, modernising the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment and improving collaboration across regional operations.

The companies said AI will increasingly automate repetitive, high-volume technology tasks, enabling engineers and analysts to focus on higher-value activities requiring human judgement and creativity.

Ascendion will deploy its proprietary AAVA agentic AI platform alongside its Engineering to the Power of AI methodology to support secure and responsible AI adoption while maintaining compliance and privacy standards.

Expanding AI across capability centres

Sri Kantamneni, Executive Vice President and Chief Information & Digital Officer at Schreiber Foods, said the partnership is designed to strengthen both internal operations and customer outcomes.

“AI is a significant driver of transformation, but its real strength lies in how it empowers our people. Through this strategic collaboration with Ascendion, we’re equipping our capability centers with AI-native tools that elevate our internal service and operational standards. By giving our employee partners better, smarter tools to work with, we enable them to focus less on manual processes and more on driving customer success and accelerating our growth.”

Ascendion said the platform will help improve traceability across geographies, accelerate plant-floor decision-making and lower technology operating costs while improving resilience.

Karthik Krishnamurthy, Chief Executive Officer of Ascendion, said the collaboration reflects the growing role of AI-native operations in enterprise transformation.

“Schreiber Foods’ mission is one of the most consequential out there. We are honoured to deploy technology that helps Schreiber bring food to people all over the world. Schreiber leaders recognise the impact that can be unlocked by AI-native operations across their global network. It’s a bold vision built on a powerful foundation of success, and we’re thrilled to bring the full power of AI to this partnership.”

Highlighting the business focus of the engagement, Dharam Gurbani, Chief Growth Officer at Ascendion, added, “We’re accountable for outcomes, not effort. What changes for Schreiber Foods’ plants, customers, and consumers is the only scorecard that matters. Our partnership will reset expectations for velocity, efficiency, and operational excellence across capability centres in the United States, Mexico, India, Spain, and Poland.”

The partnership marks another example of agentic AI moving beyond pilot deployments into enterprise-wide operational transformation, particularly in manufacturing and supply chain environments where AI is increasingly being applied to improve productivity, quality management and business resilience.
