Versa Networks has appointed Amit Chopra as Country Director for India and SAARC, bringing an experienced enterprise technology and cybersecurity leader into a role focused on the company’s regional business.

Chopra joins Versa Networks from Cato Networks, where he served as Country Manager for India and SAARC. At Cato, he was responsible for driving regional business growth and strengthening the company’s presence in the enterprise networking and cybersecurity market.

His appointment follows a career spanning more than two decades across enterprise technology, networking, cybersecurity, sales, marketing and channel development. Before Cato Networks, Chopra was Regional Director at MongoDB, where he led the large strategic accounts business across North and East India, alongside the enterprise independent software vendor business nationally.

He has also held leadership positions at CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks, gaining experience across the cybersecurity landscape. His nearly decade-long tenure at Juniper Networks included responsibilities spanning regional sales, partner sales and marketing for India and SAARC.

Earlier in his career, Chopra worked at EMC Corporation, Avaya GlobalConnect and Tata Teleservices, building experience across enterprise infrastructure, telecommunications, alliances and channel management.

His move to Versa Networks comes as enterprises reassess how they secure and connect increasingly distributed IT environments. The convergence of networking and security, alongside growing demand for cloud-delivered infrastructure, is reshaping how organisations approach connectivity and cyber risk.

Chopra’s experience across networking and cybersecurity vendors gives him a background spanning both sides of this shift. At Versa Networks, his regional leadership remit places him at the intersection of enterprise customer engagement, market development and business expansion across India and the SAARC region.

The appointment adds another chapter to Chopra’s career across enterprise technology businesses, following leadership assignments at several companies operating in India’s increasingly competitive networking and cybersecurity markets.
