Vertiv launches consultant portal as India’s data centre pipeline expands

Vertiv has launched a consultant portal in India aimed at giving consulting engineers access to technical material and design resources used in planning critical digital infrastructure projects.

The registration-based platform brings together technical documentation, BIM content, design tools and training resources. It also provides registered users with access to Vertiv’s engineering teams, including a dedicated support function for consultants in India.

The launch comes as data-centre development in India accelerates. Vertiv, citing DCD Intelligence, said the country’s data-centre capacity is projected to cross 8 GW by 2030. The growth is increasing the requirements placed on consultants involved in infrastructure design and specification, particularly during the early stages of projects.

The portal is intended to consolidate some of the technical resources consultants require during the design and specification process rather than requiring them to access them through separate channels.

“Consulting engineers play an important role in shaping how that infrastructure is designed and specified,” said Alok Rajput, General Manager, Technology & Data Centre Business Development, Vertiv India. “The Vertiv Consultant Portal gives India’s consulting community direct access to the technical resources and expert support they need to make informed design and specification decisions from the earliest stages of a project.”
