Whatfix has appointed co-founder Vara Kumar as its chief executive officer, effective immediately. Kumar succeeds co-founder Khadim Batti, who died suddenly on September 1.
Kumar co-founded Whatfix with Batti in 2014 and has led the company’s product and research strategy. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s operations and next phase of growth.
“Khadim was a visionary leader, a partner, and a dear friend,” said Vara Kumar, Co-founder and CEO of Whatfix. “Over the past twelve years, we built Whatfix on a shared conviction that technology should empower people, not stand in their way. As I step into the role of CEO, our executive leadership team and I remain deeply committed to realiaing that vision, supporting our global customers and partners, and building an enduring enterprise anchored in strong fundamentals.”
Whatfix said the company continues to operate across its regions under Kumar and its executive leadership team, with support from its board.
