Xoriant rebrands as a human-centric AI company and adds 25 customers for AI services

Xoriant has announced a shift towards a human-centric AI model under a new brand identity, “New Horizons”. The company said it has added 25 new customers for its AI services as it combines artificial intelligence with what it calls Human Ingenuity (HI).

The repositioning reflects Xoriant’s view that AI adoption must go beyond automating existing tasks to rethinking business processes, improving customer outcomes and enabling employees to focus on work requiring creativity, judgement, empathy and accountability.

“AI asks more of us humans, not less,” said Rohit Kedia, CEO, Xoriant. “AI brings speed, scale, and pattern recognition, while HI brings judgement, creativity, and accountability, creating an HI/AI flywheel that compounds and moves forward.”

In a briefing with Express Computer, Kedia said companies risk overlooking the role of people as they focus on the rapid adoption of AI. He argued that as access to large language models becomes more widespread, an organisation’s ability to apply human expertise alongside AI will become a key differentiator.

“If the same LLM is available to every company, what will differentiate one company from the other? It turns out it will be the human ingenuity in that company,” Kedia said.

Reimagining business processes around AI

Kedia said the shift requires organisations to reconsider how they define business objectives and measure the value of AI, rather than focusing primarily on the number of tasks completed or employees replaced.

“The goal is better outcomes, not just faster execution,” he said, explaining that businesses should examine what they want to achieve and how human expertise and AI can work together to achieve more than the existing process allows.

He cited customer service as an example. Rather than using AI primarily to reduce the number of call centre agents, companies could automate routine information gathering and issue triage, allowing employees to focus on building customer relationships and improving the service experience.

Kedia also pointed to a fundamental difference between AI systems and conventional enterprise processes. While business processes have traditionally been designed around predictable, deterministic outcomes, AI operates probabilistically and does not always produce the same result.

“You have to reimagine the processes to account for a probabilistic technology. Now, when you do that, it can be very powerful,” he said.

He added that fragmented enterprise data, legacy systems and existing technical debt can prevent businesses from translating AI experimentation into measurable value. Xoriant’s approach, he said, places greater emphasis on understanding the business problem, redefining the desired outcome and redesigning the process before deciding where AI should be applied.

Building a workforce of creator engineers

The HI/AI philosophy also informs Xoriant’s approach to talent development. The company plans to make its workforce of more than 5,000 engineers fully AI-fluent while encouraging employees to develop broader capabilities beyond technical execution.

Kedia described the future workforce as “creator engineers” — professionals who combine technical expertise with creativity, judgement and a deeper understanding of customers’ businesses.

The company is strengthening its internal learning initiatives to develop these capabilities, with an emphasis on helping employees rethink established ways of working rather than simply learning new tools.

In the briefing, Kedia identified empathy, creativity, judgement, accountability and ambition as distinctly human qualities that should remain central to AI-enabled work. He said understanding a customer’s business and the needs of its own customers is essential to designing solutions that deliver meaningful outcomes.

The company is also developing its Orion platform and associated ways of working to support engineers across the delivery lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and envisioning solutions to implementation and continuous improvement.

Partnerships and new brand identity

Xoriant said it continues to strengthen its technology partnerships, holding premier partner status with Microsoft, Anthropic, OpenAI and Salesforce.

Its New Horizons brand identity includes a refreshed visual system built around the company’s signature green and extends across its digital presence and client-facing touchpoints globally. The branding is intended to reflect its “resist the usual” positioning and its emphasis on human contribution alongside AI.

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Xoriant serves more than 75 Fortune 500 and 150 Global 2000 clients across banking and financial services, healthcare, high technology, retail and manufacturing.

The company said its transformation is intended to shape how it delivers technology services, develops talent and works with customers as AI becomes more widely accessible.
