Kaspersky has partnered with KidZania India to launch the Kaspersky Cyber Investigation Centre in Mumbai, introducing an interactive, simulation-driven cybersecurity learning environment aimed at equipping children with real-world digital safety skills.
Located at KidZania Mumbai, the centre is designed as a hands-on, role-play-based cyber lab, where children step into the role of “cyber investigators” to solve simulated cases involving phishing, identity theft, and cyberbullying. The initiative reflects a growing focus on experiential learning models that combine technology, gamification, and real-world scenarios to build foundational digital literacy from an early age.
From a technology perspective, the platform integrates interactive simulations powered by cybersecurity tools, enabling children to identify threats, analyse suspicious activity, and practise safe digital behaviour in a controlled environment. Each session uses workstation-based setups with guided workflows, allowing participants to engage with realistic cyber threat scenarios through structured, task-driven exercises.
The initiative is particularly relevant in the context of rising digital exposure among young users, with a large proportion of children accessing mobile devices and online platforms early in life. By introducing cybersecurity concepts through immersive, scenario-based training, the centre aims to bridge the gap between awareness and practical understanding of online risks.
According to Jaydeep Singh, the goal is to make cybersecurity education engaging and accessible, positioning children as active participants in digital safety rather than passive users. Tarandeep Singh Sekhon highlighted the importance of preparing children for a digital-first future through experiential learning environments that mirror real-world challenges.
The Cyber Investigation Centre also incorporates incentive-driven engagement models, where children earn rewards upon completing tasks, reinforcing learning outcomes through gamified achievement systems. Complementary digital offerings, such as trial subscriptions and personalised “Cyber Investigator” certifications, extend the learning experience beyond the physical environment.
This collaboration underscores a broader trend in cybersecurity, shifting from reactive protection to proactive awareness and behavioural training, especially among younger demographics. By combining cybersecurity expertise with immersive edutainment, Kaspersky and KidZania are positioning digital safety as a core life skill in an increasingly connected ecosystem.
