PM Narendra Modi to address Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai
GFF 2026 to bring together more than 700 speakers from 70+ countries to discuss Agentic AI, tokenisation and quantum technologies
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, scheduled to take place from 8–11 September 2026 at the Jio World Centre and Trident, Mumbai.
Organised by the Payments Council of India (PCI), the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and the Fintech Convergence Council (FCC), the seventh edition of GFF will bring together policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, technology companies, startups and investors from across the global fintech ecosystem.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Potential to Impact: Agentic AI | Tokenisation | Quantum: Trusted, Connected, Global Systems for Inclusive Finance.”
The event is expected to examine how emerging technologies are reshaping financial services, with discussions spanning agentic AI, tokenisation, quantum computing, digital payments, financial inclusion and the development of trusted and interoperable financial infrastructure.
Focus on the next phase of fintech
Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chair, GFF 2026, Founder of Infosys and Chairman, Axilor Ventures, said the conference will bring together policymakers, regulators, central bankers and industry leaders to examine how agentic AI, tokenisation and quantum technologies are transforming financial services.
“Our mission is to contribute meaningfully to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’,” Gopalakrishnan said.

He added that GFF 2026 will bring together policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, startups and technology leaders to accelerate the development of secure, interoperable and inclusive financial ecosystems.
Sohini Rajola, Executive Director Growth, NPCI and Member, GFF 2026 Advisory Council, said the event will examine the convergence of Agentic AI, tokenisation and quantum technologies and their potential to create a more intelligent, programmable and secure financial operating stack.
Vibhav Hathi, Co-founder, OneCard, Chairman, Fintech Convergence Council and Member, GFF 2026 Advisory Council, highlighted the rapid pace of innovation across artificial intelligence, embedded finance, digital identity, tokenisation and next-generation infrastructure. He said collaboration between startups, financial institutions, regulators and technology providers will be critical to unlocking their potential.
Global participation
The conference is expected to attract participation from more than 70 countries, with the programme featuring keynote addresses, regulatory dialogues, industry discussions, policy and business roundtables, technology showcases, startup demonstrations, workshops and hackathons.
Among the Indian speakers are Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra, SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey, PFRDA Chairperson Dr Sivasubramanian Ramann, Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani, SBI Chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty and NABARD Chairman Dr Shaji Krishnan V.
International speakers include Caroline Abel, Governor, Central Bank of Seychelles; Pablo Hernández de Cos, General Manager, Bank for International Settlements; Valerie Szczepanik, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, US Securities and Exchange Commission; and Tom David Mutton, Executive Director – Payments Innovation and Fintech, Bank of England.
Scale of GFF 2026
The organisers expect 100,000+ attendees, 5,000+ participating companies, 700+ speakers, 400+ investors and 350+ exhibitors across more than 350 conference sessions. The event will also feature over 40 product launches and showcases, 40 networking sessions, 20 closed-room sessions and more than 10 report launches.
The conference will be supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of External Affairs’ NEST Division, NITI Aayog, RBI, SEBI, IFSCA and PFRDA.
With the convergence of AI, tokenisation and quantum technologies becoming increasingly relevant to financial services, GFF 2026 is positioned to examine how these technologies can be deployed alongside appropriate governance, security and regulatory frameworks to build more resilient and inclusive financial systems.
