Sela partners with Google Cloud to host AI Advantage 2025 in Mumbai; announces USD 15 mn investment in India
Sela hosted AI Advantage 2025: A CxO Conclave in partnership with Google Cloud. The event convened senior technology leaders to discuss the evolving role of artificial intelligence in enterprise transformation. During the conclave, Sela announced an investment of USD 15 million in India over the next five years to expand its cloud and AI capabilities, strengthen local service delivery, and deepen collaboration with Indian enterprises, startups and software vendors.
Sela, recognised internationally for its cloud engineering and consulting expertise, is increasing its focus on India as part of its global strategy. India will serve as a significant hub for cloud delivery, innovation, and talent development, operating alongside Sela’s established centres in Israel and the United States. The planned expansion is expected to create high-skilled roles in cloud engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and data analytics. Sela will also work with Indian ISVs and startups to co-develop cloud and AI solutions for domestic and global markets.
Ron Sprinzak, CEO of Sela, said: “India represents the right combination of scale, skill and speed. Our intention is to build in India for the world—bringing together Israeli innovation and Indian execution to support cloud transformation globally. This investment reflects Sela’s long-term plan to position India as a key innovation and delivery hub. We see considerable potential in the country’s cloud and AI ecosystem.”
Sela works with digital-native and SaaS organisations, along with enterprises modernising their technology environments. The company has long-standing partnerships with major cloud providers, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud. Its services span generative AI, data modernisation, cloud architecture and migration, DevOps and FinOps, application engineering, managed cloud operations and AI-enabled CloudOps automation.
Rishi Ranjan, General Manager and India Head at Sela, commented:
“Our expansion in India focuses on partnerships, delivery excellence and innovation. This includes building deeper collaborations with major technology providers, establishing scalable delivery hubs, and investing in automation, AI-driven operations and internal platforms to enhance cloud performance and cost efficiency.”
Sela’s growth in India also reflects stronger technology collaboration between India and Israel. The company is forming integrated teams that combine Israeli cloud architects with Indian engineering and delivery specialists. This model is intended to accelerate work in areas such as AI, automation and data analytics while improving reliability and service quality for global clients.
The company’s investment is expected to contribute to India’s wider digital economy by supporting job creation, talent development in cloud and AI, and partnerships with local technology firms and ISVs. Sela also plans to support innovation-driven government initiatives aligned with India’s Digital Economy goals.
“There is substantial opportunity in India’s cloud and AI sectors, and our aim is to work closely with local talent, startups and enterprises to help strengthen India’s position in the global technology landscape,” Mr Sprinzak added.
As part of its expansion strategy, Sela plans to introduce new AI-enabled platforms and services, including:
-
Sela CloudOps AI Platform – for cloud monitoring, optimisation, compliance and operational efficiency
-
Data & AI Modernisation Services – to help organisations utilise analytics and AI for business outcomes
-
Sela GenAI Agentic Solutions – offering ready-to-use generative AI tools for enterprise workflows
These initiatives are intended to support organisations as they modernise infrastructure and adopt AI at scale.
Sela also aims to broaden its presence through closer collaboration with local system integrators, cloud marketplaces and government-led innovation programmes. A key focus area will be enabling Indian startups and software vendors to reach global markets by leveraging Sela’s partnerships with major cloud providers.
For Sela, the India investment represents a long-term commitment to building capability, fostering innovation and supporting global customers across North America, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.
As Mr Sprinzak noted, “Sela is combining Israeli innovation, Indian scale and global reach to advance cloud transformation. Our investment in India reflects our belief in its pivotal role in the future of cloud and AI innovation.”
