The two-day programme offers role-based training for data analysts, engineers and platform administrators, with hands-on labs incorporating AI-assisted tools.
Snowflake has launched a free foundational training programme for its customers and partners worldwide, as enterprises look to strengthen data and artificial intelligence (AI) skills across their teams.
Called Snowflake Practitioner, the programme offers instructor-led and self-paced training designed to help participants build proficiency on the company’s data platform. It includes a two-day curriculum and 30 days of access to hands-on labs.
The programme is available in public and private instructor-led formats, as well as through an on-demand learning option. Snowflake said the initiative aims to make foundational data and AI training more accessible to organisations and individuals working with its platform.
Training tailored to different data roles
The curriculum is structured around three roles: data analysts, data engineers and platform administrators.
Data analysts will receive training in querying, reporting, visualisation and AI-powered analysis. The data engineering track covers pipelines, data loading, transformation and orchestration, while platform administrators will focus on security, access controls, cost management and system monitoring.
The programme follows a common learning format in which participants attend shared sessions before moving into practical exercises tailored to their respective roles.
AI tools integrated into practical learning
Snowflake has integrated Snowflake CoCo, its coding agent for data teams, into the hands-on exercises across all three tracks. The integration is intended to familiarise participants with AI-assisted tools used in data-related workflows.
The company said the training is designed to help teams apply their learning to practical tasks rather than focus solely on theoretical concepts.
Programme offers a pathway to advanced certifications
Snowflake Practitioner is positioned as an entry-level programme for customers and partners looking to build platform skills. Participants can subsequently pursue specialised role-based learning and SnowPro certifications, the company’s certification programme.
The company said the training is available at no cost and can be accessed through instructor-led or on-demand formats. Hands-on lab access is valid for 30 days.
